we expect by 2003 hunters will see MORE and LARGER bucks than ever before".
I guess he didn't include those 2.5s in his thoughts?

ORIGINAL: DougE

No one ever claimed the rack size of the average 2.5 year old would increase.
Dominant breeding by older buck was supposed to improve the gene pool and produce 2.5+ bucks with bigger racks. That is why Alt claimed we would have more and bigger buck.

I am seeing FAR less doe, around the same number of yearlings and less big buck, thanks to the 50%+ reduction to the overwinter herd here, MORE big bucks is an impossibility.
