No, what the WCO did was legal. The question is if what Greg did was legal. I can not find the section of the code that allows a hunter in archery to tag a buck that was killed by a firearm.

Again, your lack of reading comprehension is showing. He clearly stated that the WCO allowed him to tag it in her presence. If it were illegal for him to tag it then it would be illegal for her to give him permission to do so and to do it in her presence.

Are you saying The WCO directed you to perform an illegal act? WCOs enforce the laws , they don't make the laws. Beth did you a favor , but you weren't smart enough to keep your mouth shut. You had to brag about it on a MB. BTW, I have no problem with Beth's decision, but I do have a problem with your holier than though attitude.
If a cop tells you to rob a bank ,does that make it legal?

Every archer knows that a buck harvested by a firearm can not be legally tagged as an archery kill. The WCO could have given you that deer and kept the antlers.Or, you could have kept the deer and paid for the antlers. Instead you chose to tag a deer that you didn't shoot and keep the antlers. It was your choice so don't blame the WCO. She cut you a break but you had to brag about your good deed.

From: PA.
i saw MORE hunters here in clinton county than i did last year.
a TON of hunters hunted the sat/monday/tuesday of doe week.
last year, i hardly saw much of hunters the second week.
but, i saw LESS deer killed than last year and LESS sighting of deer.
i interviewd 9 crews that drove deer in my area for 8 days of hunting.
out of the 9 crews, they said they saw 2 doe.
we had 8 in our gang and hunted the first week hard,we got 1 buck and saw NO DOE.
i was sick a little so i only spent like 4 hrs day in my standbut rest of our crew sat in stands ALL DAY, MONDAY TO THURSDAY.
there was about 17 treestands in about a mile square area.
only 1 buck was seen and killed, it was buck i saw in archery.
i interviewd a gang of locals.
they drove for deer all weekl hard, they got 3 bucks and NO DOE.
they saw 4 doe total..
folks, this is with snow too
now, stores and restaurants like the doe thing the second week as they get another week of spending that they did not get before.
