Has anyone ever hunted in Jamesburg county park? It is located in middlesex county NJ, and I always see cars parked along its edges during the season.
I wanted to know peoples experiences with hunting there.

If you check the compendium under Public Deer Hunting Land in New Jersey(pge72) you would see it is not listed there and since it is a county park as you say, there is No Hunting there. Unless you know something and are just not printing it. or go to www.njfishandwildlife.com

I checked with the Middlesex county park system. They stated that it is legal to hunt deer in that particular park in season.
I also called the NJ DEC, and they said they do not govern county parks, that I should call that particular county park system hq.
I saw guys there this morning turkey hunting as well.

That kinda su$#ks that they have public land to hunt and don' t list it in the Hunting Digest. Are we supposed to be some kind of mind readers or something. I' ve seen people hunting else where in the state and just figured it was private property. Although there were no signs to say what or whose land it was. Guess it pays to be vigilant.

There are quite a few places in the state that you can legally hunt that are not listed on the digest. You just have to do your homework to find them. Personally, I' m quite thankful that these spots are not listed on the digest as that would certainly diminish the quality of the hunt in such places.
Do a bit of digging and you' d be surprised the places you can hunt.
