Crawford County State Park - Hutsonville, IL
Just wondering if anyone has hunted this area this year for deer and what kind of deer activity have you seen? I'll be making my 1st trip to hunt IL this year and will be hunting this property.

I haven't hunted it for about 5 years, but my ex-brotherinlaw does. He took a nice buck there a couple of weeks ago. Around 1,100 acres. I was also told Thursday by my local pro shopowner that there is a huge 10 pt. buck there. Almost every season there is a nice buck or two taken by bow or gun. Why I don't hunt there I really don't know. I have met guys from Pa. and Michigan there in the past.........all nice guys. There is a big turnaround going on at the local refinery right now, don't know if that will increase the pressure or not. Good luck. By the way, its not a state park. Crawford County Conservation Area is the official name. No camping.
