Default West Point in NY

Anybody ever hunt in West Point military acadamy in NY? I did for the 1st time this morning. Man that place is huge! I didnt see anything but there were some pics of some pretty good bucks taken so far this year, at the sign in office.

I think it would take a couple tanks of gas to drive all the roads in that place.

We were down there this past sunday for my oldest sons superbowl championship game. drove around alot, did'nt see any deer from the car. When my friend went to school there back in the early 90's, there were deer ALL OVER the campus, looked like lawn ornaments. one ran onto the practice football field (right next to the river) during a scrimmage game we were at!

it is a BEAUTIFUL piece of land, though!

I'm usually a tree stand hunter, but I'm thinking that bringing my climber in there is a waste of time, so I'm just gonna keep walking around till I kick something up, at least until I check out some more areas & get an idea of how the deer move around in that place. Ive been studying the map all day and theres gotta be a couple hundred miles of road in there. Where the heck do ya start?
