Default Cooled off finaly ,crazy deer in NNY

Although I havent filled my tag yet , it did cool off cosiderable this afternoon ,
I seen twice the number of deer a codog ,and 2 white tail hawks .
Just nothing close enough for a shot .
There was this one doe . it was crazy ,
She would run around stop shake her head, then run some more and act like she was going to lay down ,then jump back up .Splashing around in the wet clover field ,on and on for abought 20 minutes ,
Other does were also standing on there rear legs as if on a face off .
Wish I,d brought the cam corder .
It was fun to watch .

Last night it was considerably cooler in the finger lakes area, my wife and I were out walking the dogs and saw great deer movement, 6 bucks and countless doe, one really nice 3 1/2 -4 years old buck Reaally got me pumped for a couple weeks from now. I will DEC would open southern archery on the 1st of Oct to give us some mast crop to work with

I'm on the opposite side of Watertown as Carthage, and the buck i saw this morning was moving with about 7 does. They are coming through the same woodlot everyday, coming from a corn field towards a bedding area, not sure where though. I have only been out once but my father saw the deer going the same direction both days last weekend, just can't seem to be in the right spot for them.

So far the deer are still moving during the morning, and seem to be following the same pattern everyday. Thats in the woodlot near my house anyway.

Oh ya ,
It realy cooled off the last coupLe days and the deer movement picked up .
Last evening I seen 10 doe,s and 1 coydog ,
But nothing close enough with a bow .
This evening I was watching 5 doe,s in a large field and abought 20 minutes before dark I had a deer less than 30 yards from my enclosed stand .
I thought another doe , a branch was blocking some of it ,
I looked thru the binocs and wow a real big7 pointer , Very tall rack .
I would normaly not even think of a shot , because of it being a7 pointer , But He was huge and if I got a chance with my bow I would take it ,
Any ways I let him feed in the meadow a few minutes hoping he would come my way .
He didnt so I tried a couple very soft grunts , He just picked his head up once then stared to browse again ,
So I tried my doe bleat and it seamed to scare him ?
He eventualy just waked back in the woods .
It was close to dark in no time , but when I glanced back out in the field there was at least 10 deer now grazing .
All in all It was a great night .
Only problem wit a box blind is Limited Shots with a bow .[:@]

It's suppose to get in the high 60's this coming week in WNY. Oh well.... I'm looking forward to the cooler weather to get some of these leaves off the trees.
