Jason and Buck Magnet,
I want to thank you gentlemen for confirming that snipe are a legitimate Pa game bird. Just a few weeks ago we took our cub scouts out on a snipe hunt and we had a few skeptical parents who obviously don't know PA wildlife. Now I can direct them to this board for some credibility<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yep, I knew there were snipes, I just didn't know that you could catch them in a pillow case and sell them for a couple hundred dollars a pop. HAHA

Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

When I was a kid, I'd trap those weasles with a rat trap hung a few inches up a tree, with a fresh chicken liver as bait. I would have never believed how common they were before I started trapping them. They're all over the place, but I don't know why so many are suddenly visible.

6pt. I have heard from alot of people that they are common. I just thought that the game commission stocked them because I never saw one before. They are cool little guys though. They are funny to watch.

The PGC or the Forest Service release fishers or pine martins [the same I beleive]a few years ago in the Allegeny National Forest. Reasons behind this was to cut down on the porcupine population. The locations of the release was in the Minster Creek and Tionesta Creek area. Seen two last year in Forest Co. and they were about three foot long and about ten or twenty pounds. Didn't feel like picking it up to see how big its' teeth was. Look like a big long house cat.
