I'm looking for a place to bowhunt at or near Hoosick FallsN.Y.(near Vermont line north of Albany).Any suggestions?

If you are willing to drive, the Albany Pine Bush has some great hunting. It is about 5000 acres of public property in the middle of the Albany County bowhunting only zone. The shop I work at is less than a mile from the preserve, and every year there are multiple P&Y class animals taken off the property. More info can be found on the following link:

It looks like you can only hunt this area with a longbow unless I'm reading it wrong.

Tibbets State Forest is bounded by Rt 7 and Rt 22 in Hoosick. I think it is around 1000 acres and has pretty good access.

Try Pittstown State Forest. OK Deer hunting and great small game hunting. I hunted there for many years til I moved to central NY.
