Hi guys, I'm planing on bow hunting for bear this up coming season for the first time in mass, and I was wondering if the majority of the hunting is done on state land or private property.I'v been scoutting out some spots on state land and thay look good, but should i try to get permission for private land if possible?

I am no expert. But private might be justa little bitbetter if there is a corn crop or some otherfood source. (baiting illegal)However, Some of the best bear area I know are on public lands. Beechnuts are a natural favorite for the bears.
