Early archery took 2 does (3R)and lost a 6 pointer(3S). opening rifleweekend i took a 4 pt andmissed a doe(6P). I went to 3S(westchester county) and took a doe this weekend. We are over run with deer down in3R and 3S. 3S is where they give out extra DMP's as its loaded with deer. Access to land is fairly restricted in these 2 WMU's.I may bow hunt x-mas week since 3S is open till 12/31.

Northern zone regular season-nothing.
I hunt 6N mostly in the Northern zone, and for an area that has no doe tags issued, I saw a lot of does (BIG ONES
)but no bucks. Maybe this area will open up for some doe tags in the coming years.
Southern Zone regular season-nothing
I shouldn't make excuses but I think all the warm weather we had in Nov. and early Dec. cut down on deer movement and made for tough hunting. This was the first year that I didn'tgeta doe tag in 7F. Again, all I saw were does. 7A didn't produce like it has in other years either, does again and no tag.
Maybe, I'm just a crappy hunter

The weather wasnt favorable at all for deer season. Its pretty sad when you have to swat mosquitoes when your in your stand. You have your good years and bad years, hopefully next year will be better.

I killed an 8 pointer in the archery season, and a doe in the rifle season.I do the majority of my rifle hunting out of state.I hunted 3a and 3c.I saw plenty of deer during the archery season.I saw 9 different bucks in only six times on stand. In the rifle season I likely would have been better off hunting my archery spots.I hunted quite high the few times I got out rifle hunting.I was at a local taxidermist last night and he had a couple of darn nice deer that had been killed in 3a and 3c.As likely all of you do I know some excellent dedicated hunters who had miserable seasons. There is no question the deer numbers are way down.I am in favor of the antler restrictions but I believe we need to eliminate the management permits for a while to allow them to build up their numbers.

2 does early bow
1 buck regular season
1 doe late season
all shot with bow on private land with no other hunting pressure
88 deer seen in 2006
86deer seen in 2005
109deer seen in 2004
94 deer seen in 2003
well over all I would say it wasabout average to alittle below aveerage, but no injuries and some meat in the freezer so it was a good season.
