last day of a firearms always stinks. Lots of pressure for the past weeks. Gotta give the deer some time off. We have a January 2 day season that is usually good cause the deer have had a rest. Give it a bit then try with the bow.

Buckmaster I got out 2 Days up here in Zone 10 with the Shotgun (Both Saturdays) and I saw nothing.!!!! The first Sat I was with a party of 12 and about 4 deer were seen but none killed. Last Sat I kicked a few up in the snow but never got a look at them.
Did you still hunt gun or sit on stand??

Pretty slow the first week and those mild temps. Hunted a different area in zone 1 Wed-Fri, and saw two does I pushed up on a stillhunt. Tracked 4 deer 6.5 hours Friday in 2" of new snow. Was close but never saw them...
Its over for me as I don;t have an MZL.
Maybe next year......lets hope for another mild winter...

I got out 2 good solid days w/ the gun. I didn't see a deer. One hunting partner took a doe opening day... another a 4 point 1st Sat.
Looking forward to getting out w/ the TC the next few Saturdays. Hopefully we get some snow so we can dog them on the mountains!

I am so glad shotgun is over. Too many idiots in the woods who have no clue about deer hunting. They dust their shotgun off the night before opening day and then tear up the woods the good hunters have worked on all year. I usually do well in Mass but the hunting sucks considering a 2 1/2 month season. I guess I'm spoiled from hunting Iowa and seeing 70 deer in a week.

shotgun season was the worst ,ive every seen ,didnt even see one flag ,me and 2 friensd hunting some great areas and put on some serious drives and nothing,the weather here is so messed up who knows what going on in the deers mind well i have the last week of xmas off so mybe we can get a little snow
