270 bolt action. One shot, small hole, dead deer. Shotguns are for rabbits and turkey.

I use a Martin Jaguar during bow season and TC Encore with a 30-06 barrel on it during rifle. I just got this gun before the season opened and boy is it a tack driver. I shot twice opening day and killed two deer. I love it when they fall right over after being shot.

This comment is for the guy who talked about people shooting at deer running with high powered rifles. My suggestion would be don't do it. If you aren't certain the animal will drop with the first shot don't shoot. There is nothing worse than wounding an animal and never finding it.
