man thats wishful thinking. I really wish we would have a fresh dusting on the ground for opening day. Anything would be better than last year though. Fog so thick i could only see 50ft and a drizzle all day at about 40degrees it made for a long day on stand.

I hope you meant 2-4 inches, not 24. The deer won't move much with 24 inches and neither will anyone else to move the deer.

Last year just added insult to injury, since there was3" of snow on the ground when I arrived in Tioga Co. on Friday. We got another2" of fresh snow on Saturday morning. Then Sunday it warmed into the mid-40s and all that snow was gone by Sunday night.

Bummer having all that snow until almost right up until opening morning, then getting fog and mist on Monday morning. Tuesday morning wasn't too bad, then the skies opened up and it poured most of the day.

On the bright side, it snowed Thursday night and several times after that, so we hadsnow cover for the remainder of deer season.
