NY J3? New to hunting and the area...
Hi There, I'm outside of New Paltz, close to Minnewaska State Park.
Just saying hey - this is my first year bow hunting and my first year hunting in the area. Got a small 6 point on my land, so did my neighbor, but nothing like the photos of beasts I see from other parts of NY. Do you have an opinion/idea why?
I was also thinking of hunting in Minnewaska or Mohonk Preserve - I know they allow hunting at certain times in certain areas. On my hikes I've seen really huge deer up there off season. Anybody hunted there?
