I missed the other day on one that was out close to 200yards with my 22 Hornet The farmer told me they butchered a cow Christmas day and the Coyote were all over it that night. He could heard them howling and barking all night all! It took them 1 day to clean up that carcass. He's going to call me in another week of so when they're ready to butcher another cow.

If you don't have table scraps, open cans of dog or cat food and put it in ziploc bags. Get the cheapest, smelliest stuff you can. you can smear some on the trees to get the smell of it into the air. Then, put all your baggies in a clean bag and put them in your backpack. Don't litter and good luck.
