ANF and DMAP
#1
Anyone heard anything about DMAP for the ANF yet? The PGC website says info will be out in August but DCNR already has their info out. I've heard that ANF tags will be reduced this yearand don't want to miss out.

You can check for updates here:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/allegheny/recreation/hunting/
Also, if you filled a DMAP tag on the ANF last year and properly reported it then you might just get a packet from them asking if you want to participate agian this year. In this case you'll have the opportunity to get your coupon before applications become available for others. This is how it worked last year, but I don't know if they're doing the same this year or not.

Thanks Jason, I had lost that web address. I think you're right about the advance mailing to successful hunters but I didn't fill my DMAP tag last year
so I'll have to do our apps ( mine and my two sons)with the masses.

Shouldn't be a problem. Last year I got the early application, but my wife didn't. She applied online when it was available and got her tag. I do know they dropped the allocation this year though, so you never know. Best best is to check out the site every afternoon and apply as soon as it's available.
