tbow52, Rhinelander is "God's Country". Most of Wisconsin is accept Milwaukee and Madison. Best of luck. It will be cold. Went bow hunting this past Sunday for the opening weekend and it was 45 degrees at first light and I'm a good 2 1/2 hours southeast of Rhinelander.
Outlaw, If you want to hunt public land there is thousands of acres of state and national forest land for access. The deer are abundant but spread out per square mile. However, If you want to pay a little for private access, pull up Buffalo County, WI on your search engine. HUGE BUCKS !!!!! From what I understand, the entire county practices Quality Deer Management. I have access to Buffalo Co. for the first time this fall and will be hitting it during the rut.
