Question on food plots.
I hunt on private land in east central mn. The deer seem to just pass thru the land. They seem to be going from food to the bedding area. I was wondering if there is some kind of food plot that I can plant among the trees. The guy that owns the land is not too keen on cutting down trees for a food plot. There is a small area(25X150feet) of swail grass around a swamp that I can clear for a plot. any ideas???

RE: Question on food plots.
If you have a 4-wheeler and a plow..try getting some Biologic and trying that. BUT..first do a PH test..it'll save you time and money in the long run. If you want to go cheap and easy...just plant some corn...everyone knows deer love corn.

I've heard biologic works good, and corn is awesome. Apple trees would be another option, deer love apples and will travel to get some. Mineral deposits are good too, deer need them and love em. Its hard to get deer to shift from their normal patterns so you need to try unique things that they cant find easily elsewhere.
