I have a friend of a friend that found a real nice dead buck while bird hunting , called the county sheriff to make it legal , which they gave him a number of the state police and they gave him DNRs phone number which he called was told to go ahead and take it , they showed up at his door and confiscated the head and horns and it now hangs on the wall of shame , no tickets issued, no reasoning why, I think they just took it because it was big . I saw it with my own eyes at the IL deer and turkey classic . damn shame

Does your state have a law against collecting sheds? If not, leave the skull in the woods and remove the horns. Buy a synthetic scull and you are in business!
