Think that so far there have been three documented cases of mountain lions killed in Illinois going back almost a decade. Not that far from Illinois to Ohio for an animal that can cover as much ground as a mountain lion, when you consider that recently a muc slower moving black bear wandered from far eastern Ohio or West Virginia to dang near the outskirts of Dayton. The one thing that the folks in Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Illinois who said "they ain't here" have in common is they were wrong.

I'm not gonna argue with you Mr. Doug. It's not worth it it to argue something that I have seen as fact with someone who just is making a statement. I have in fact seen a mountain lion with a kill up a tree. One time, also the only lion I have ever seen. But to say that it never happens, is totally wrong, because I have seen it. So thats all.

Rt1 that is interesting, maybe what I saw wasn't an isolated case.

Sorry your not impressed! Probably just a bobcat with a 4 inch wide track. Maybe you could post some pics of what Mt. Lion tracks should look like.

Doug sorry about the goose chase!! Pike

Okay let me give my thoughts,

First...the only thing worse then believing all these mountain lion stories in Ohio and PA are real is NOT GIVING THEM A CHANCE. I think its worse if your a guy saying its "impossible and that nobody has proof". I can tell you for a fact that it IS possible, and i can also tell you that mountain lion's have been sighted in Ohio.

Also,

Somebody mentioned a DEER CARCAS IN A FREAKING TREE. If that is not a red-flag for a big cat then i dont know what is. A large bobcat? Sheesh.

Mountain lions cover up their kills. They do not drag them up into trees. Please provide one scientific refererance showing that mountain lions actually drag carcusses up into trees.
