if you shop at the new Gander Mountain in Springfield, Illinois. I went there today with my son. Ammo-high and guns even higher. A TC Triumph at you can get around $230 on sale elsewhere was $499. A CVA Accura was close to $600. Wow, prices are just nuts right now......

Our gander has always had extremely high prices. I havent looked for ammo there in a while, prices have always been 10-20 percent higher then regular gun shops.

This is funny. I have been wanting to go check out Gander Mountain for a whille and today I went a little out of my way to go to the one in Lake Mary, Florida. I always go to Bass Pro, and have been to Cabelas several times in St Louis. So that was the comparision I had to take with me. I found the hunting and gun section to be better at Gander than Bass Pro. Prices either same or a little higher on most stuff. Fishing section at Gander is terrible.I did find a deal on a new Hunter Safety System Professional (Mesh)for 79.99. Overall I would not make a special tripout of the way again to go there.

Shop arround! There are alot of reasonable places besides Gander Mountain. If you are after ammo- check out ABLE AMMO on the Net. (Cheap prices and great service) and shipped to your door.
Their price is as good as Walmart!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shop online for most of my supplies. I feel bad because it can lead to unemployment, but it is so much cheaper!
