I live in central Nebraska and my buddies and i have noticed this past week that we are seeing more movement. As long as it doesn't get too hot this weekend I think you'll have good luck.

mj469,

The hunting still first rate in Nebraska. I grew up in Kearney and moved away in 1988 and haven't been back since. Some of my best memories are from Nebraska. Stuck in Virginia now. No comparison.

I had two buck run a doe by me this morning. One small eight and a big heavy eight but, they got on the wrong side of me and two many trees in the way for a shot. They where grunting and putting on a show. Nether one of them wouldof madeP&Y. Ilived inIowa for 56 years and I live in NE NE 6 years now and I think NE sucks for big bucks. They are hard to come buy here. I only see one once in a blue moon. You just don't seeB&C bucks all the time like you seein SW IA.

I'm seeing a LOT of movement near Lincoln (I live on the east edge literally, I'm on 97th st, 98th is the city limit), and southeast of here is getting pretty active as well. I can only assume that things up north are just hitting stride...

I'll be running down I-80 to Kimball and then to Chadron, and back through Ericson and Neligh next weekend and expect things to be very interesting... I think everyone will be cutting corn by then too, which will keep them out of the fields a little bit.
