No ,we don't see deer every time we go out either. Thats just the way it goes I guess. I have not shot any. But my 2 sons each got one so far. With the weather turning cooler the deer will be more on the move. Going out this morning. good luck to all.

Hey Guys, just joined. Living in Minneapolis, but hunt in East Union (SW Carver near Cologne). I went out on Friday morning and saw 3 does a couple spkies but nothing within 150 yds. I've been bow hunting for about 5-6 years now and loving every opportunity to get out there. Im headin out tomorrow morning again so hopefully I'll see somthing with the rain coming in tomorrow morning.

I went out sat in one of my stands bordering a thicket around a pond where deer come back to bed and BOOM! BOOM! Damn near knocked me off my stand. I forgot it was the first day duck opens at sunrise. lol It was loud as F*&K the echo was killing me. The neighbors to teh north were pounding away and the public land directly behine me were popping also. Then at 7:30 am thunder[&o]I look behind me and catch lightning in the south east skies.
Well I guess I will go home and make the family cinnamon rolls. lol

I saw a dandy buck on friday evening.....unfortunately its a little hard to shoot out of an airplane. LOL
I was buzzing around scouting because the deer movement has been nil. I actually haven't seen much of anything in the last couple of weeks. Of course saw a few does out feeding but no bucks. I was wondering if there were wolves out around the area again so decided to get an airial veiw. I think the acorn crop has most of them hanging in the oaks for now.
Good Luck guys!!

I've only been out once so far this year. If we had more then one tag In the area I hunt I'd be out more trying to get myself a doe. The one and only night I was out I saw 10 deer, 6 of which were In range. I had a doe and two fawns at 12 yards and later on I had 3 different bucks come by at about 15 yards- one forky, one spike and one nice little 1.5 year old 8 that was probably 90" or so. Nothing of which I was Interested In so they all got passes. I've got a few nice bucks on my trail cams the last few weeks so I'm hoping one of them walks In front of me sometime this year.

Congrats Tribal, Rackluster, TeeJay on your doe's!

Just got back in out of the rain. Grabbed the shotgun and took a walk grouse hunting and scouting for deer sign. Well, just as I suspected....wolves!!! I found two different piles of wolf scat within 1/4 mile of my house. I figured that was the reason I hadn't seen much in several days. Hopefully they move out of the area soon.....everytime I find out they are wandering the area deer sightings get VERY slim.

Thats not good, hopefully they move soon for you. Been out a handful of times, and have seen deer each night but once. Took a nice doe last week. Now its time to chase the bucks around.
