I will be there. We only have 30 days left. I am done with school on the 21 of Dec. I then get 16 days in a row to hunt at 12 hours per day that will give me another 192 hours. I am hoping to get close to 600 this year.

If I can go anymore, it'll be with my bow. I've been very busy this year, might have to settle with only 1 deer.

I'm ready for spring. Can't wait to get the Lund out of the garage.

Was out this evening in the freezing rain. Had a button buck come in from about 200 yards away and stand underneath my stand for 20 minutes panting like a dog. Poor dude looked lost.

Right about dark it started to really pour and i had thoughts about getting down, but decided to give it another 5 minutes. About that time, i looked off to my left about 80 yards or so and right in front of the stand i shot my buck out of with my bow stood another shooter buck trailing a fawn. They were headed right to me and ended up passing not 30 yards from me as they headed to the corn field. I had to just look on as he walked on by. Next years bow season cant get here quick enough.

So I talked to one of my friends who hunts with me today. He said he shot a doe this past Saturday, tracked it for a mile, then lost the blood. That's 2 wounded deer from him, one from his dad a couple weeks ago, and another one from a different guy that hunts on our property.

For me, 1 shot and 1 dead deer (not counting a misfire). I'm sort of pissed off. [>:]

Last day of school today. Then I get 16 straight days at 12 hours a day. I cant wait. I will hunt the Refuge by my house the first 5 and see the deer situtation after EHD and if it is slow I will head back down South East to Jefferson/Switzerland Co.
