another question for the WI hunters....
Hey folks,
This is my first year hunting in Wisconsin, and will be hunting in oconto county, north of Green Bay. My schedule is unexpectedly getting busy and I may not be able to get out there this weekend as I had hoped. I was curious how many hunt the late season and if any tips for it.
thanks and good huntin...

I hunt Oconto and Marinette counties also.
I love to hunt the late season. I alway try and hunt a food source. If you are into baiting this is always a good time for that. I am able to hunt beats and some standing corn that we leave in the plot. Good luck to you

RE: another question for the WI hunters....
thanks Copper31,
I figured that the late season there may not be as many hunters out there, (not as many deer either I suppose!) but I may have more time then that it looks like I will for this early season, my plan is to at least take a doe to fill that tag between now and November, and get the earn-a-buck sticker ready for late season.
best of luck.

the late season is fun, but cold, and now that you can't bait deer with corn piles, it's going to be really hard to hunt deer once there is snow on the ground. but i still enjoy it.

Food, Food, Food.If you find where they are eating you will find the deer. My family has a cabin in Crivitz, and we have noticed that the deer migrate in winter to find better food and bedding areas.
