Maybe people are asking that price but I doubt they're getting it. My father in law recently sold 75 acres (50 tillable) for 265K which is roughly 3500/acre but it also had a doublewide and a cooler. It was on the market for over a year before it sold. This was in nothern Pike.

It is going up here in Pike County all the time. Lots of it is going in the 5-6 thousand per acre range now. Pretty unbelievable for ground that I could have bought for 300-400 dollars an acre when I got out of high school. Never dreamed it would get like this or I would have bought all I could have afforded.

Wolfhound, I know some guys that have sold their ground for 4000+ an acre & one that sold for 5000+.. Just depends on how many acres,% of tillable/huntable, location in Pike County, just the overall hunting/farming of the ground & finding the right guy or group of guys that want it. Not saying if you ask 6000 you will get it but I know of some that has went as I said for incredible prices. At the present rate it is only going to get higher.
