Default hunting land price$$$$$$

what did you pay for your hunting land. have been looking at land because hopefully in a year or two my dad brother and me can find some good land to buy for a decent price seemes like land is realy crazy with the price. also how much land do youhave

I just bought 20 acres yesterday 10-17 at Auction for 2235 p/a...All Timber no tillable..

$2,235.00 per acer? That seams high. But maybe not for your area.

Some hunting land in IL sells for $3-6,000 per acre....I bought this in Adams County...Fairly reasonable I thought...

We paid about $1890/acre in NE Moa year ago. CRP, tillable, and woods.

Don't care what kind of land you want around here it is gonna cost you $5500-$7000 an acre regardless of your intentions.

The tillable ground with my timber was 4557 per acre...113 acres...515,000....

Obviously the timber is what is going to control what the price is in our area. They range from $950 p/a to as much as $2500 p/a

Before you buy anything be sure to have a timber anaylsis done. This will tell you what it is worth today and the potential it has for years to come.

The more diversified the timber, the better the piece

Land prices will vary widely across the nation. I bought 180 acres in north central KS. a couple years ago for $525./acre and so far, knock on wood, I've had enough income from the crops to make the payments, with no out of pocket.
