We have 240 acres of prime hunting property in Carroll county Illinios and on Saterday my son took a shot at a sow with three smaller hogs. He shots a 20 gauge and I am sure he missed. Are wild hogs moving in to NW Illinois?
We did shot 4 bucks and 1 doe and a coyote over the two seasons.

Where in Caroll county. I only shotgun hunted there. I live in Mchenry county. I'll have to tell my friend that I hunted with out there. He is also in Mchenry county but was from Carroll and goes back to hunt there when he can.

We are on the bluff just south of three mile road. Just north of Thompson.
It is deer heaven. I saw 31 deer on saterday alone and shot a strange 7 pt with no brow tines. Big deer and out of the gene pool. That Bluff has about 4000 acres of timber and sees very little hunting pressure. The property just south of me is 600 acres and no one hunts it. Some Dr. from Chicago owns it.
My 16 year old son has shot 5 bucks and two are wall hangers scoring 145 and 170.
Carroll county is the best kept secret in Illionios.
