I'm in nw ohio, hearing and reading that the hog population is starting to get to decent numbers in southern ohio. Just wondering if it would be worth my time to head south for a pig bowhunt this winter. I know the wayne nat. forest area. Are there any porkers roaming that area? Thnx....

I have heard that the population of hogs is on the rise and that ODNR has labeld them called them nuisance and to shoot them on site. I also know a few people who boarder Wayne National and they say they haven't seen any or any signs of hogs. Starting to see more bear down there but no hogs.

There's a club southeast of Columbus going toward Athens that advertises hog hunts. Can't remember the name though.
Apart from that, just about any bar in Dayton after 8pm on Saturday night will do.[:-]

Thanks guys, i'm not gettin anywhere with the dnr. They don't seem to want to say much about piggys. As far as the dayton wild bar hog variety, i know that they can be lured in with an order of chili fries and a couple beers, but when cornered, they are the meanest of the mean. So , i have learned to avoid any conflict with that breed of hog. I'd rather fight a russian boar with my gerber tool than tangle with one of those..............
