RE: ?Hello from Illinois
I might, but the one I have an eye on requires you to take a doe first. I can already see it, huge 18 pointer stands 10 yards from be broadside and I haven't taken a doe yet......woe

RE: ?Hello from Illinois
I was thinking about Midewin and Des Plains but I don't know anything about either. I am new to the state of Illinois. Moved here from Georgia. I don't have any hunting contacts here in Illinois.
Thanks

RE: ?Hello from Illinois
Public land is really the only option for me this year because I just moved to Illinois. If anyone hunts these areas and would like tomake a few tripswith me I would appreciate it.

midewin is covered up with hunters the first part of the season. I went opening day last year and people had been lining up since 1am. There were about 12 hunters within 100 yards of me when the sun came up.
If you can put up with the crowd and do alot of homework theyhave some HUGE bucks.
I hunt out in Ogle county @ Lowden Miller good place if you can go during the week and avoid the week ends at any park.
