Default Ohio Hunters...Buckeyes

As a Pennsylvania resident, I must wonder aloud, when I come to Ohio to hunt your firearms season, I am restricted to a shotgun/muzzleloader. However, I watched news clips today and I saw former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarette out scouting with an SKS semi automatic rifle. Was he given a special exemption by the DNR that only residents can obtain? Let me know before I come hunt this year.

I don't know about Maurice but you can only use shotgun or certain straight wall pistol cartridges. There is no exemption that I have ever heard of. You can hunt varmits with whatever you like though. Hope that helps. Check OhioDNR for full regs. Good luck this year.

Maurice was on TV with a gun? After his latest escapade, I thought that the only hunting he would be involved in would be getting pursued in the shower in prison.[:'(]

Hahaha.very funny. You a Penn State fan?
No, more than just a rifle, but I believe two loaded handguns and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka laying on the passenger seat as well. To boot, he was wearing a bullet proof vest. He is the saddest example of how somebody can throw it all away because he'd rather be a punk than a civilized human being.[:@]

That was a good one FOP23. It may be a toss up between Clarette and Ricky Williams. I know Ricky was trying to make a comeback but I think it is because he ran out of weed money.

Doe Girl and Lumpy, thank you for seeing through the sarcasm in my post, I think Jim Tressel is probably happy to know that he's locked up and not bringing down his program. However, JoPA would have never recruited him in the first place.

"two loaded handguns and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka"

You mean that isn't standard hunting gear?

If Clarett had a bottle of Tinks 69 to go along with his other "gear", that would have been newsworthy
