RE: Bucks in Ohio
I saw a nice 8 or 10 with a real tall rack Thursday night but he was by himself. I don't think they are doing anything just yet but it sure looks like it is getting close <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Bucks in Ohio
well atleast some of them are doing even more than chasing in southeast Ohio lol
saw it with my own two eyes an 8 pointer actually breeding a doe on Oct 20th
havent been there in a few days but so far there seems to be very minimal rubbing and scraping on the farm I hunt

The smaller bucks are staring to hound the does pretty hard here in NE Ohio (Geauga County). A buddy had a spike trying to mount his deer target yesterday morning. I have witnessed a forkhorn and an 8 point chasing the same doe fawn all over the place. It is only going to get better.

This week should be PrimeTime! A buddy got an 8 point this morning in Richland County. He said that one and a bigger 9 point were checkin some does. I am not sure of a lot of chasing going on, but the past 4 days I have seen 3 bucks in fields during daylight hanging around doe and checkin them. The bucks should be in the "seeking/chasing" phase now or in the next few days. Monday is the new moon and some of the doe will come into heat. The rest wont go until after the November full moon which is the 19th. Get out there this week boys! Things will likely calm down once that November full moon gets closer. Then it should pick up again around Thanksgiving. Bucks chasin doe during gun season? Very likely this year! Good luck guys!!!
