At a northern WI registration station that I help at during the regular gun deer season, they registered about 400 deer during the t-zone hunt. A DNR staff of 5 was collecting samples for CWD testing. Samples were marked on a grid map of the county so too many samples didn't come from a specific area, but from accross the county. Only quality samples were collected, no head or neck shot deer and no fawns. Approximately 120 samples were collected. FWIW.

Tim, good point. I just think this is getting blown way out of proportion. Lymes a few years back was the same way. Now its a fading memory to most. Dont get me wrong I take precautions when I'm dressing a deer, but its not the forethought of my mind.
