WALMART??? Come on now, we should not fall prey to Walmart. Support local gun shops and buy from them. One of these days Walmart will own all and have monopoly over everyone and we will be stuck paying what they want us to pay and we will have no other choice. Support local stores/shops. Whats this world coming to anyways..........

not sure what your annual income is,but on my gun budget I need to shop around for the best prices. Honestly I try to buy from local shops(and do buy and trade many used guns per year)but when I can save $45-$50 how can i justify loosing money. I like getting the best deal for my dollar. And yes I have bought2 guns from Walmart both were clearance guns which I don't understand but I saved a good deal of money. Weatherby Vanguard( yeah i no it's a cheap one but $250 how could i pass it up CVA Wolf ML $99 how do i pass that up. I'm not defending Walmart just basically saying it's an option....and if this guy needs a gun for $300 he might want to check them out

Don't know where you are from, but outside of town we have a really great gun shop. It's called Smoky Valley Shooting Sports. Its located between McPherson and Lindsborg KS. Anyways, I just bought a brand new Benelli Nova 12 guage pump that was just under 300 cash. It takes 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2 shells, so it is a versatile gun. They also real nice used guns all the time also. If you are in the area, it is worth the stop in.

I have an 835 and Im not happy with the overbored barrell. It doesn't pattern as well with Turkey loads as a standard size barrel.I bought a Remington 870 SPS-Turkey last year and am very happy with it.They made a few changes on the new models for 2006 which I wish had been available last year. The reciever is drilled and tapped and it can be ordered with a barrel with truglo sights.Check out the Remington Firearms Site for different models.I know I should purchase from local gun dealers,But Walmart had this 870 for $150 cheaper than anywhere else,so check out the Walmart site for their prices.

I have a Mossberg 500 that came with two barrels one smooth bore and one rifled for deer slugs. These are good inexpensive pump shotguns. I also have the Benilli Nova, if you should get one of these be sure to get the recoil supression system that they sell, this is one of the hardest recoil guns that I have ever shot.

I would seriously look at a Benellli Nova pump. They run about $300-350. I have many shotguns from O/U's to semi's to pumps but when it comes time to throw a reliable and simple gun over my shoulder, I grab my Nova.
It is very accurate, easy to clean, lightweight, dependableand can be easily set up for turkey.
I must have been unlucky or just had a couple lemons, but Mossberg has yet to impress me in anyway.
Best of luck.
