Okodoka, if you have an out of state tag there is some very nice public ground around Ashland Il (Jim edger panther creek).They have a nice camping area and some cabins. I was there Fri. and sat. friday we got there about 5:30 pm started counting deer 47 before it got dark at 7:05 saw 2 really nice 8 pointers. Sorry boys and gals Huntingunlimitedinc was a total waste of money, went there last year and the owner was more worried about picking his grapes than helping us. The guide was ok but he too didn't seem to know what was going on, seen nothing but does and small scrubbies. The week after we left all of a sudden somebody shot a 160 in buck on property that we were never given an option to hunt on even though we told the guide and the owner we wanted to hunt there. There is no options there you hunt where they want you to , you have to practically beg them to go to another spot. Why the food is great and the trailer was ok, I couldn't help but feel cheated after each day. They told us that they are not behind every tree, but come on after five days of seeing nothing who's fooling who. Save your money and don't go with this guy, he dosent have the deer he says he has. Others will tell you different, I don't base my hunt on the kill at all, this place is just plan worn out and the guides , some of them don't have a clue. Go some place else for the money.
