I have hered before that the land owner owns hunting rights on the water. So even if you are 450 ft from an occupid dwelling you would still need the land owners permission. I am talking about ducks and geese which would be hunted lakeward. I have not found it in the book or on the DNR website. How enforceable would this be if it is not printed in the game book. Is this even true?

If it's aprivate lake maybe but if you can get there through anavigatable stream you should be legal. The DNR has to determin it to be navigatable.

It is a township lake and we live on it but we would be hunting on the other end.
