Default thumper reels

does anyone here use a reel that's been "thumperized"? I found a few links to him through a google search and all of it looks pretty out of date. is he still doing it I wonder? I have to find some shed antlers but I am getting a real bad itch to watch some blood and carp slime fly all over the place.

I'm pretty sure Thumperized reelsis no longer in business. More than one person lost a few $ when he closed his operation.

he was sponsoring us and he will no longer accept reels from anybody. have heard some bad stories. there are some guys doing the modifications on bowfishincountry.com. I have a few and all they are are stretched caps with a bigger hole. yeah they are worth the trouble. deffinatley like mine!

My cousin was wanting to get a 'thumperized reel' and called and talked to Jim. His wife has some serious heath issues and he told my cousin that he just did not have the time to do it any more. Sorry to hear about the guys who got shafted. I have two of his reels and like them a lot...

I hopped over to bowfishingcountry.com and there are some good tips for messing around with the spinning reels. If I get some time I may mess with one of them a bit, what's the worst that could happen?
