I have been on Clinton Lake for the last three days. First day was to test my2004 merc 9.9 that Igot to go on a 14 ft GenerationIII boat that I acquired. Iwas really impressed at how good and fast that little boat goes with that motor. My heavy plateboat with the 75hp motor does not go much faster. Yesterday and today I have been trapping with my supervisor at work. He was the only person to show up for the Cclinton Lake trapping drawing, so he has the whole lake to trap. We set traps yesterday and checked them today. We got 6 racoons today and one beaver.Wewill check the traps and pull them tomorrow. Now for the carp update....They are still there!!!!! Back in the coves where we set the traps the carp are in water about 2 ft down. The water is real clear. We put in at Muscutin and headed westplacing traps. The power plant is still making hot water and the farther you get from thehot water ditch you get the colder the water, but the carp seemed to be inall coves. The carpmust recognize my boat because they seemed to take off whenI got up to them.Maybe time for some new cameo paint.

Snowy on Clinton Lake this am and foggy. 6 boats in the water when we got there at8:30 A.M. The water seemed clearer today than the past two days. Half of the boaters duck hunting and the rest are fishing.
