Clinton lake

Took buddy 'BIG AL' to clinton lake this morning for his first bow fishing trip. He went last year with me and just watched. Today he had his own 'stuff'. Of course he hit the first fish he shot at. Should have stopped there.lol We were on the water from 9am to 11:30 only boated 13 commons but had a great time. The water is still a little cloudy, but there were fish everywhere. Our shooting did not help the fish count. Boated only 13 but had fun watching them run after the miss. My advice is to head to Clinton if you want some good action.

Someone had told me Clinton at night is a waste of time right now.....Can anyone put some truth to that? For some reason the lakes any more are scarce for fish when the sun goes down. I know the last few times at Evergreen was horrible. I heard Clinton at night was not any better.

we fished at night last sunday, dave randolph and i and two fellas from bloomington. a lil rough but we boatd four and got at least twenty shots. i think the carp go to back of coves at night or go a lil deeper. so i think my answer will be is bowfishing on clinton at night a waste of time, absolutly not. we seem to see bigger fish at night and more buffalo. if you know where to go and have some clarity i think it can be as good as the day half the time.
