Default Shelbyville

Well I had the day off so ole Cliff and I headed down to Lake Shelbyville this morning. Got there around 9am was really suprised to see the lake is still way high and the regular boat ramp is still under water at Wolf creek. Water color was not too bad but the fish are gone. We were there for 4 hours and seen 2 common carp, 2 small gar and 3 buffalo. Of course the Buff's were just a blurr as they took off from under stuff. Did get one of the 2 common carp. We stopped at the marina for a bite to eat and I was talking to employee there. He said the lake had come up a foot in the past too days and was not due to crest until tomorrow. From all the rain the other evening. He said that the lake only goes down about 2-3 inches a day. So over all the lake is still 14 feet above flood stage. My advice go shoot some where else. unless they are up at night. Still a bad day of fishing is better than a day at Snuffys work.
