First Bighead
#12
Suckersticker was at 3 Rivers Marina, at the bridge that connects the marina to Kelly road. The same place we were at on the boat the night we took out Duane from the USGS. He's the one who'll be taking these fish.
Bill is in the midst of arranging transportation for them.

Got back out tonight after dark and got 1 more bighead (the only one I saw), and a smallmouth buff. Educated some folks from the Dwight area who were up for a very slow night of fishing with nightcrawlers.
They got to see me bring in both fish, had never heard of bowfishing before, and only knew a bit about the asians. We had a bunch to talk about, and we talked on and off for an hour while I searched for more.
They now want bows and bigheads.

I got out for a while too with my buddy Ryan. We were down by th tree where you took your water sample and he shot at one almost right on the bank and missed. Oh well, he was mad cause it was the only fish we seen. I might get out there tonight if the wind dies down.

I guess they're finally getting in there thick. That kinda sucks as far as the fishery and ecology of the area's concerned. But it sure is great to have another target to go after, especially one that's as potentially destructive as this species is. And I hear the fight is better than anything else out there. I'm really excited to get my Little Woody out there and poke a few myself.
