Default Tuesday night shooting

Just a reminder that tomorrow is tuesday, and as of the last time I talked to Mark, we're going to shoot fish somewhere. I'm sure it's either gonna be at the DesPlaines River or DesPlaines Conservation Area/Kankakee River. The weather looks great for tomorrow too.

We went out last night and did a little exploring. We spent alot of time driving around, looking for different spots, but we ended up back at our favorite area. The fish were real spotty; not like last week with them spawning. But we got a few. Mark is going to have a count later, but I think it was somewhere around 20-25 maybe. I did get one nice gar, but not the greatest picture of it.

Oh, and we finally got to see what it looks like when the gar start their spawn. I've never seen so many gar in one place! Next time out, I'll remember to grab my camera.

I'm ready for Sunset!

We didn't do too bad last night. The totals were 10 longnose, 11 commons, and 9 buffs. Steve's longnose was just over 40 inches and weighed 9 pounds. He shot into a group of them and before he knew what he hit he yelled "I hope I shot the biggest one!" I think he did.

You can count on me and Brian being there Christine. Just let us know the date!

I will be out at Dawson all weekend long; begining with Thursday night through Monday. I will be on my quest for the infamous Koi!

I'll let y'all know if I stick em!

Mark and I got out yesturday for only about 10 or 15 minutes when the troller fried. We still got 5 in the boat. It looked so promising too. The wind was calm and the water didn't look too stained. Them darn weeds are getting tall already....

See, I told you there is no such thing as a 'spare' troller in bowfishing. Only trollers that are waiting their turn.
