I also bought a Zebco 808 bowfishing reel;it will replace my drum reel on the recurve I use for bowfishing.
Judd, you may want to check the spinner head on that 808. I got one this year and it didn't feed off the spool very well. I took the spinner head off and put a larger radius on the spinner head. It seemed to feed much better. Good Luck.

I'm hoping to make some changes to my boat. Rettey makes a kit to add two feet.I will be looking at the generator, troller/converter and lights.I also added threaded inserts to my bow for a 'gasp' AMS retriever.

Agreed!

I've had the same Retriever for years, but I've gone through 3 spin casts in the past year. You'll like it.

..but I can miss fish SO much faster with the spincasts.

I confess toliking both types.
I hope that doesn't make me 'Bi'. []
Am I just kidding myself?
Oh, the wife will be heartbroken.

But seriously, (sort of)
I'm going to combine bowfishing with waterskiing.
My new little 8'x4' boat (affectionately known as The Green Bobber) is going to get a workout this spring and summer, and with luck I'll get pulled around by a few big fishies. I can actually be my own float. I tried it at Sunset Lake, but the fish were already hibernating.[:@]It should also be great for Wonder Lake and all of the calm backwaters.

I'm going to make a lightweight platform for it so I can get a second guy on it with me and still stay within the weight maximum. (yeah, it's THAT small)

Your Litttle Green Bobber will be great on the flats at WonderLake!
And I love the visualization of you being pulled around by some big fish.
Thanks....
