does anyone know if you can use a crossbow or a drawlock for bowfishing in illinois???????

Yes on the crossbow. I don't see how they could get you for using a drawlock either.

This is what the law says:
Carp, carpsuckers, buffalo, sucker, gar (except alligator gar), and bowfin mya be taken with spear or gig, pitchfork, underwater spear gun, bow and arrow or achery device.
Spearing/bow and arrow fishing is not permitted in waters listed as "2 Pol and Line Fishing Only" (except as listed by notation) [see reg booklet for more info]
