kaskaskia river problems

Most Citys have an ordance to restrict people from discharging firearms and bow in city limits, A law enforcement offical will let you know this if you ask, (but you can swing a golf club in the yard, which stats show more accidents and people injuyed from this and archery all year). However if you are going to bowfish a lake that is permissible to do so in city limits that is fine. Once again your local park official or the lead game or lake manager should be able to answer this.

Mike,
"The City of Carlyle maintains an ordinance which disallows the discharging of weapons in the City without his/her written permission. This includes bows. Please note that no part of the Lake or the River are within the City of Carlyle."
Bill Gruen
Carlyle City Administrator
It's the Army Corps of Engineers that controls the spillway area.

What is really silly about the whole deal is. That they will let you shoot all you want up in the old river bed. Which is still in the park boundry's. Which side of their mouth are they talking out of? You can shoot below the rapids all you want.
