Ladder stand for fat me
Most of the ladder stands i'm finding are rated at 300 lbs., well, i'm a touch over 300 lbs. Everything i'm finding rated for heavier folks are two seaters, but i'd like to find something for just me, but with a heavier rating. Or will the 300 lb. rating be fine? Looking to not break the bank either if possible. Any suggestions or advice?

I know that my climber was rated for 200 lbs andmy weight is 190 and iwas the same way is this ok and i have a loggy biou climber and i called them and aske them if it was o.k and they said that most tree stands weight limits canm be exceded by more then 50 lbs and the weight is something to save there butts incase u were to fall, all it is is a sales ploy.

most of the stands are rated at 300lbs because the harness they sell with them is only rated for 300lbs.
also for the manufacturer to rate a stand at a certain weight, i the stand must be tested repeatedly and proven safe at DOUBLE the rated weight. i was at an outddoor show and watched a manufacturer put 750lbs in a stand only rated to 275 without incident.
im about 340, and with gear im prolly about 385ish and i used to hunt from a stand rated for 250lbs. i upgraded to a new stand that is wider and more comfy with a rating of 350, the API grand slam magnum.
