Real close to buying the new 360 4x4 or the 650. I like the smaller 360 but the 650 is only $1000.00 more. That seems like a lot of extra bike for only $1000.00 more.
I want to hear from Kawaskia owners. What do you think of these bikes and do you think they will hold up as good as a Honda? What do you like or dislike about Kawaskia?

I own the 400, I haven't had any troubles with this machine, it has lots of power and will do anything I need it for! It's 4X4 all the time.
On the other hand My brother has the 650 and That bike is sweet It has the two or four wheel on the handle bars. It's all a personal preferance But I would definately buy another

My 400 will be 2 years old in the fall and yes it does start easy in the cold weather. The only things I've done to this quad is the regular maintenance ie; brakes, cable lubrication, tires. I thought at first the tires had wore down pretty quickly but then relized that I had been doing alot of road running on pavement. That doesn't do well on the tires<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
I have about 1800 miles on this machine

Stop don't make the mistake of buying a pile of garbage Kawasucki. Seriously now, My dad has 3 Grizzlies 2 660's and a 600 I would put the 660 Grizz against any ATV.....any. Yamaha is a much better machine than a Kawasaki. And a 400??? why??? get a 660or get a 450 Kodiak with the locking differentials like the Grizz has. Get a Grizz or get STuck
Why work when you can hunt????

DEFINATELY go for the 650. The $1000.00 is money well spent and the gap closes when you realize a speedo will cost you extra on the 360. As far as longevity goes. I have 3500 miles on my prarie 400 and my dad has 4200+ miles on his prarie 300. Both are starting to show signs of needing some cvt attention. But don't fool yourself Mr. shooter, any cvt driven quad will require more maintance than a standard shift once the miles stack up.
In the 3500 miles I have only had to replace brake shoes(3x) and one belt on the cvt. My dads 300- same thing.
If you want a honda, get a honda. Or the first time you have to adjust the air pressure in the tires you'll be saying "man I should have got a honda". But I assure your they're not all bullet proof and each brand has it's issues. Their is no perfect quad made.
Don't rule out looking at the suzuki eiger. It is a 400 class auto with a low price tag.
And Mr. shooter- the mighty 450 kodiak is only a 421cc motor-check the specs
Good luck on your choice.

I can't speak from perdonal Kawasaki ownership but I will tell you this. I am a devout Polaris fan. I have had a chance to ride all three of the big bore machines, and I have to say the one that would seriously tempt me to stray from Polaris would be the 650 Prairie. It has the most power by far of the three. The thing I didn't like about the Polaris is that the tranny engages at too high of an RPM, it still has a mechanical speedo, and Oh My God is it HEAVY. The main thing I didn't like about the Grizzly was the brakes, they just plain sucked. It also was not near as smooth as the twin cylinder machines. I felt that the Grizzly was "tippy" feeling because it sits do high. The downfalls I see on the Prarie are having to hold in the lever for the front diff to lock and it does not have independent rear suspension.
It would be a no brainer for me if I were trying to decide between the 360 and the 650. I'd buy the 650 in a heartbeat.
