When the temperature starts to get cold say -20degrees or colder, forget rubber boots and get a good pair of pac boots.Wear polypropelene socks to wick any sweat away from your feet and they will stay warmer.Very few locations have temperatures as cold as alberta or saskatchewan in november and the polypropelene/pac boot combination works here.

I've worn a pair of high rubber boots that were as warm as typical pac boots. Why? because they had the same kind of liner. After all, I don't believe pac boots breath a whole lot more.
As the ultimate all rubber boot, that will keep your feet warm at -30F and colder - get the original style Bata vapor barrier boot - also known as Bunny Boot. All rubber, as warm as any boot out there. Down side is that they're pretty heavy, but most warm boots are.

I picked up a pair of insualted rubber boots a month ago and if they weren't quite so bulky i would use them for football also. I love the things. We haven't hit the reeaal cold temps yet so they are still keeping my feet nice and toasty. I should have purchased Baffin boots but i cheaped out a bit on my purchase. But i agree with stubblejumper, when it really starts to get bitter out i will be using my Baffin bush boots.
