Default Help w/ Gloves and Boots

Guys,
First off, I was thinking of trying some LaCrosse boots this year, and was wondering what model everyone likes? I don't want rubber boots, but regular leather/cordura style boots.
Does LaCrosse use Gore Tex? I can't tell, because the boots I've seen don't say Gore Tex, they just say "waterproof". I don't want a boot that just treats the leather to be temporarily waterproof.
Also, EVERY pair of Rocky's that I've ever owned, ended up leaking by the end of the season. I NEVER punctured them or anything like that, but they just ended up leaking where the sole's meet the boot itself.
How about Danner boots, compared with LaCrosse?
I'm looking for a HIGH quality boot, that WILL NOT end up leaking.
They will be used for cold weather in GA, so insulation is needed.
Thanks for your help guys.
I'm just tired of spending $200+ for boots that leak after a few months.

Also meant to ask what waterproof, cold weather bowhunting glove would be?
I think I tried some of the Cabela's MT050 gloves with the leather index finger last year, and they ended up leaking. They MIGHT have leaked from being used while I was climbing with my portable stand though. I'm not too sure. I know Cabela's is usually pretty good stuff.
Thanks fellas.

razorhunter,
When it gets really cold,I wear Donner heavy insulated boots. I've only had them a year, but,so far, they are fine.
For the rest f my hunting I only wear TimberlandGuide boots. They are comfortable and guarenteed waterproof.
I posted here,a year ago for suggestions on waterproof gloves.
I got a lot of good responses. Comon suede gloves impregnated with beeswax is a good idea if you are young enough.
Cabella's Gore tex is a good idea,also.
I decided to try the Seal Skinz gloves, and am very happy with them.
God luck.

I have to say that I only will buy Irish Setters or Danners. I have never had either leak and both are very comfortable. The Irish Setters are now 5 years old and the Danners are 3. I use the Irish Setters for Pheasant hunting from Sept.-March (game farms and South Dakota) and the Danners for hanging stands, scouting and working the labs year round. I do take care of them and use saddle oil on them after I clean them.

I really like my Irish Setter and Danner Pronghorn boots. I have used a number including Rocky, although I never had a problem with rockies leaking I found them extremely heavy so switched to a lighter boot. Both have provided me excellent service and no leaks, except when I went in over the tops - excellent value IMO.

I prefer a muff to gloves when hunting the late bow season in Maine. Two reason: 1) a muff will keep youhands warmer. 2) warm gloves are bulky and you'll loose dexterity.

With a muff you can leave you release attached to you're hand and keep them both warm until you need to get ready for a shot. then just slip you hand out and clip on your release.

Danner definitley makes a quality boot, as I have had no problems with my Pronghorns. As for gloves, I also prefer the muff, as gloves are to bulky.

I t hink Meindl boots made in Germany are the best boot out there bar none, I will wear nothing else and I know a lot of sheep hunters who feel the same. You can order them from Cabela's and at $200 are a bargain considering their quality.

This may sound funny but I have had the best luck with Herman survivors. Some boots will leak if you put them in a boot dryer(just let them air dry). You may want to try a good pack boot. They cut down on scent and they are now made very comfortable. Just my 2 cents
