I prefer a muff to gloves when hunting the late bow season in Maine. Two reason: 1) a muff will keep youhands warmer. 2) warm gloves are bulky and you'll loose dexterity.

With a muff you can leave you release attached to you're hand and keep them both warm until you need to get ready for a shot. then just slip you hand out and clip on your release.
